The touch feeling is smooth, and it will be stain-resistant, just wipe with wet cloth could take good care of it.

I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper. I’m really impressed with this 2-tier bookcase with drawer! Assembly was very easy, and once put together, it feels extremely sturdy and well-made. What really stood out to me is the drawer. I’ve purchased furniture from other companies where the drawers can feel wobbly, loose, or just not very well constructed. That is definitely not the case with this one! The drawer feels solid, stays in place, and glides along the rails so smoothly when opening and closing. I also love the rustic finish—it gives it a beautiful, warm look while still being practical. The open shelves provide plenty of room for books and decor, while the drawer is perfect for keeping smaller items tucked away. Sturdy and looks great! I have a lot of books that caused the shelves on my old bookcase to sag, but these are thick and seem super strong. It's large, and while it has a low center of gravity and seems unlikely to fall, I would still use the provided wall fasteners just in case, especially if you have kids or pets.. Anonymous. Came beautifully packaged! No dings. The color is slightly more orangey than I wanted but I’m okay with that. I love that there is no assembly, and the wood is fairly good quality for the price. Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! A least make them easier to remove. Took me 25 minutes with goo be gone to scrape it off. I left the bottom one on that can’t be seen bc I don’t feel like scraping another one off!. Lisa. US. This is a great sturdy and handsome piece of furniture. Made of beautiful hard wood and metal frame. The finish is a little darker than I thought it would be, but still a perfect match for my bedroom, where I use it for my computer, printer and other items. There are adjustable feet at the bottom of the four legs, in case your floor is uneven, etc. This is a really nice piece. Unlike some other folks here who left reviews, mine does not have any strange or strong scent. It smells completely fine and normal. Everything came well packaged, with just the right amount of packing materials. There was a slight (very small) chip on the very bottom of the shelf I used on the bottom. Not from shipping, likely a small defect in manufacturing. They offered me a 15% discount and I accepted. I turned that shelf to face the back and I am satisfied.
