I absolutely love this stone pot. Its non stick and my Jamaican oxtail stew came out delicious! I love the shape and how heavy it is. However it is a little too wide for my burner and the has more heat in the middle than the outer rim when cooking. I had to keep checkingadjusting it too make sure it was seated on the burner perfectly yet my stew came out amazing! I wanted a non-stick griddle that would be good for eggs or pancakes. I know these types of teflon non-stick pans are being fazed out for ceramic non-stick. So far so good! The pan is labeled as non stick but I didn’t know how true that would be given that it’s made of metal. However, it’s maiden use was cooking a ton of peppers and onions down for fajitas. I did use some oil but not as much as I expected to need to. It worked great! Clean up was a breeze. As for other reviewers saying that the handles remained cool to touch, that was not my experience and I definitely needed hot pads to maneuver. Being that they’re also metal, that was not my expectation that they would remain cool but I thought I would clarify given other comments. We went with the big one, the 12.5” and ours holds up to 6L per the dash marks. Only disadvantage is that it doesn’t come with a lid. This is a very small pan, which is exactly what I wanted. My go to pan was Farberware, and it is over 20 years old, horrible condition as it will not even fry an egg without sticking now. We are great cooks in this house and somehow we can still make our old pans work. BUT....This Viking pan is next level amazing. I see why its so expensive. It is heavy like a cast iron pan and I love love love that!! I cooked an egg in it without using any oil. Now I am obsessing and want a whole set. I just have to figure out a way to explain to my husband why we need 600 pots and pans lol. Maybe I can compare my pots and pans to some of those high end tools he has in the garage lol.
