Great head board. Simple and classy, but not overly so. Was easy to assemble. I did most of the assembling, then my boyfriend came behind me and mounted it to the bed frame. In addition, you have the top of the headboard to place pics and such on. Assembly did take longer than I expected but when done and set up, it looked great and she loves it. Took 4 hours to put the bed together by myself (27 year old woman). The instructions were pretty straightforward and everything was clearly labeled. It is very sturdy and high quality, no squeaking or wobbling. There was only one problem at the very last step. One of the balls wouldn’t screw in no matter what I tried but I was able to find a way around it. Overall, I highly recommend this bed, especially for the price. After considering numerous guest bed options, happy that I chose this Twin XL daybed with trundle. It did take several hours to put together, but i studied instructions carefully, took my time, and had assistance from a helper when needed. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive. A 10” XL Twin mattress is on the way for the top. “Test” sleeping on the raised trundle with a new 8” gel memory foam mattress from Wayfair was very comfortable, better than I expected, and no noticeable squeaking. With a thick mattress pad to give a little “fluff” to the “firm” mattress, it still slides easily under the main frame. The trundle has two screws that fit into slots on the main frame to create a “King” for two adult guests. I hope to minimize the 2” difference in mattresses with different thickness of mattress pads. I like this headboard - but it comes with pros and cons. The first one I ordered, the particleboard shelf was awfully flimsy and some of the screws didn’t line up - I ended up breaking it very quickly with barely any force. Luckily wayfair replaced the entire thing for me free of charge. The second time around it was much better and solid but the light strip has issues where some of the colors only light up on one side or it’s stuck on a mixed color when you press a solid color. Some quality control issues with this and I can’t seem to get ahold of anyone for a replacement. It was a bit tricky to align the brackets to fit my “universal” bed frame brackets.
