These are 6"x2" Bejmat tiles (150x50x13mm). Bejmat are a particular style of rectangular Glazed Zellige tiles, with slabs cut before firing. These thinner bejmat help reduce the weight for wall applications. Produced by hand in Fez, Morocco, these Moroccan mosaic floor tiles are known the world over. Still made with the local clays, and fired in kilns powered by olive pits, these rectangular floor tiles are authentic Zellige (zellij).

Very happy with this tile for my shower niche. I ordered a sample first and it was accurate. I feel my end result looks less colorful than some of the online pictures (I used Baylee), but it is beautiful. One note - I first ordered 4 boxes, then my contractor said I needed more, so I ordered 2 more, and they were a different dye lot and noticably different in terms of the tint and texture. Ordered these in white to coordinate with other tiles by this company with prints on them but. same texture and white background. The finish is a nice gloss so dirt should wipe off easily but still manage to retain the old Mediterranean feel I am looking for on this project which are outdoor steps into the garden. The tile arrived a bit chipped but it will not affect the top surface of the tile or strength of the tile as the porcelain appears to be thick and of good quality. Size matches exactly to the measurements of the printed tiles I received earlier so I won't complicate installation. These have great water resistance, and are fine for outdoors as well as indoors.. Simply Beautiful! This tile set is amazing! The shapedesign makes them stand out so fashionably. The fact that they are glass makes them even more special. Since they are individual pieces, they can be used in a variety of ways. They are of perfect size - not too small to use as a one-piece decoration, and not too big to overwhelm the decor of a space. Absolutely perfect! There are 36 tiles that come in a box. The packaging was thoughtfully prepared and four sectioned pieces per layer were also protected.
