This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. As several other reviews have mentioned, the assembly while straightforward is a little tricky. The couch arrives in three different boxes. One box has the bench seat which contains the legs and cushions inside the bottom of it. You will need two people minimum to assemble this couch. Once you lineup, the pieces like the arm and the seat you will have to push down, but you won’t see it going in so you have to line it up really well before you start pushing it in. it’s easy to get one side in and then not get the other side in. for the first arm attachment, we stood the seat up on its end, making it easier. with two people it took about 30 minutes to unpack it and assemble it. The legs look OK but they’re just inexpensive plastic so they’re not that beautiful. You might want to replace them with custom legs. Luckily there are lots of places that sell really cool furniture legs if you want something nicer. I think the couch is very comfortable. It has a generous size seat. It is a firmer couch, but the wide arms are really comfy to lean on and it’s comfortable when you stretch out on it. It looks really great. The fabric is nice and the pillows are very high-quality. This sofa has honestly exceeded my expectations, especially at this price point. If you’re on the fence because of the budget, don’t be! We let the cushions fully expand for about 24 hours, and by the 24–48 hour mark they had fluffed up really nicely. I gave the fabric a quick light steam and vacuum, and that was all it needed. Setup was also much easier than I expected. It took my husband and me about 30 minutes, and that’s with three kids running around! I definitely think one person could assemble it alone, it would just take a little longer. One thing I really wanted to mention is the gray color because I couldn’t find many real life photos before ordering. I originally planned on getting the khaki color, but it was backordered, so I made a last minute decision to switch to gray, and I’m honestly so glad I did. It ended up fitting my home even better than I imagined, so hopefully these photos help anyone who’s looking for references of the gray version. The couch is spacious, comfortable, and has quickly become everyone’s favorite spot in the house. Our kids love it, and we’ve already spent countless hours lounging, watching movies, and just relaxing together. I also love that it’s modular because you can arrange it however works best for your space. This couch is AWFUL to put together. The holes are even in the right spots on some. Without the legs on, while unpacking, it scratched up my new kitchen floors. I ended up not even putting the legs on because the screws aren't long enough for the holes and after hours of trying I ended up having to build a wood platform for the couch so the bottom wouldn't scratch my floors anymore. The couch I was shipped doesnt even look the same as the picture- the pillows are flat, and I'm going to have to buy inserts. Its also a completely different color than the couch in the ad.
