READ THIS FIRST! I can’t believe that none of the reviewers of this item mentioned that you have to peel the film off of every piece of this case! When I opened the box and saw that the pieces were dull and opaque and not crystal clear like the description says, I was just about to close the box up and send it back. Then I noticed a small corner of one of the pieces was peeling, so I pulled on it. There underneath the film is a crystal clear acrylic shelf! There is a film on BOTH sides of each piece, and it’s quite difficult to scrape a corner off big enough to get a grip on the film. And it’s a tedious process to peel ALL of those pieces, but it’s well worth the final outcome! It’s a beautiful, sturdy, very spacious, crystal clear display case. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the doors don’t close securely- they just swing back & forth loosely. This exceeded my expectations. We purchased this to store and display some of the Lego’s my son has put together over the years and to brighten up our newly finished basement. It looks so cool and the motion sensing light has the added benefit of lighting the steps into the basement without needing to go upstairs to hit the switch. It is a soft enough glow to not interrupt anyone’s need for darkness, while still illuminating the steps enough eyes to adjust to the darkness and since you can set it for motion sensing, it only remains on for a few moments. Great size cabinet, not too big and easy to move around. Instructions are ok but not great. My only complaint is i would like the sliding doors in the front instead of back, especially since its against the wall. First, my delivery from FedEx was left in the rain all day, the box was soaked. When I began assembling this unit, the Support bar on the bottom didn’t lineup with the screws so I only have three in there instead of four. The instructions in the booklet were miss marked with items labeled the wrong letter, even though the description showed the same item number at the front of the book and the lights on the top show through the gap at the top because they aren’t lined up properly. They are facing forward instead of facing backward. As my husband said you get what you pay for, but this was a very tedious task to put together and it definitely needs two people, and I would never purchase this again.. Gerry. Franklin, MA.
