These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable. I couldn't be happier with these solid wood counter chairs! They arrived quickly and were so simple to assemble that I had them ready to use in under an hour. The color is a lovely, warm medium brown that really shows off the wood grain. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort; the slight indent in the seat provides great support, so there’s no need for extra cushions. THESE STOOLS ARE PERFECT! We got them in the prestige ivory color and I was so nervous upon them arriving because the review pictures were so difficult to tell what the prestige ivory color actually looks like. It really is a true ivory with some darker brown and gray tones. I love the way the material isn’t a solid light color as any imperfections they may develop overtime should blend well and not stick out. The seat cushion is very comfortable and I love the way that the sides have a slight arm bumper as part of the design. The wood leg color is a very very very dark brown although in some lighting it does appear almost black.
