The RMS Titanic's lifeboat model will surely bring back the memory of the most tragic sea disasters in modern history. Lifeboat 7 was a wooden starboard lifeboat and the first one to be lowered from the sinking Titanic. Although there was a capacity of 65 people, it left with only 28 people on board, thus with 37 empty seats. The reason why was that many women and children were reluctant to enter a small wooden lifeboat and preferred to stay on the massive 'unsinkable', but sinking, Titanic. This 15-feet long Titanic lifeboat is beautifully hand-built from scratch using the 'plank on frame' construction method using the highest grade of western red cedar. It features intricate details such as wooden paddles, footings, thwarts, braces, ropes, flotation devices, rudder, tiller, lifelines, and much more. The model comes with a detachable wood stand and high precision laser engraved nameplate of Liverpool with star line flag and SS Titanic name on the model stern and front bow. Bring home this iconic lifeboat with a history that still echoes in our minds today. A must-have for any collector or enthusiast's home! The Queen Mary is considered by many as the pinnacle of British passenger shipbuilding. The canard Line's Star Flagship, Queen Mary, was laid down for construction as the Great depression gripped Europe, rendering circumstances unfeasible for ship building. Thus, the construction was held up from 1931 to 1934. The thousand foot passenger ship was built to trump its French rival to the crown of luxury, the Normandie. One of the most appealing characteristics of the Queen Mary was her great speed. Coupled with great luxury and comfort, this factor earned amazing profits for her owners until the outbreak of the Second World War, which found her in a New York Harbor. After being idle for half a year, the Queen Mary re-entered service as a troopship, traveling unescorted from New York to Sydney. Ferrying troops between the Suez and Australia until the United States decided to take part in the fight, the Germans reportedly offered a quarter million reward for sinking this ridiculously fast passenger boat which their submarines could not keep up with. With its speed and finesse along the waters, the Queen Mary bested any warship afloat and adopted the nickname, ''the Gray Ghost.'' The third largest passenger ship ever to set sail in the North Atlantic seaway, and the largest to survive, the Queen Mary is one of the recent reminders of the artistic and industrial genius that dominated the North Atlantic Ocean for over a century. This model is simple, but stunning! It is a replica of a Boston Tender, a classic rowing boat believed to have originated along the New York waterfront in the early 1800s. Some hold that the Whitehall rowing boat design was introduced from England. However the famed nautical historian Howard I. Chappelle cites the opinion of the late W. P. Stephens that in New York City there is a Whitehall Street and this was where the Whitehall was first built. Chappelle, Stephens and others agree that the design came into existence sometime in the 1820's in New York City, having first been built by navy yard apprentices who had derived their model to some extent from the old naval gig.

This Omega 46 is one of the most beautiful yachts on the water. Classic looks combined with the most modern technics. Designed by Ron Holland, build by Omega in Sweden. It has beautiful teak decks and cockpit, very spacious cockpit benches, superb lines and the best quality in finish and detail. Equipped options like an electric winch in the cockpit for setting the mainsail, a bowthruster for extra comfort in the harbour and an electric anchorwinch with extra controls at the helm. The magnificent and very spacious interior has 2 large double rooms, one in the frontship, one in the rear. The enormous galley has a fridge and a freezer. The salon is very comfortable with beautiful upholstery. In the front ship is a large wet room with toilet and separate shower compartment.

Generally well made and accurate model. I would rate this five stars but I am a keen sailor and deduct one star because the boom on the boat I received was about an inch too long and fouled the back stay, though this was easily trimmed to the right length, but the mainsail on the boat I received has a very loose leach and that is not easy to correct without recutting the sail..
