This chair is just wonderful. Nice and wide and has a high back. I will use it for a vanity chair because it is quite pretty. The assembly was easy except it took two people to do the seat assembly. I have been searching for months for the perfect vanity chair for our newly-remodeled master bathroom. The design elements were just as important as functionality to me in this space. As our counter is shaving height (with the vanity just a few inches lower), a standard height seat was too short; I needed one that had adjustable height features that didn't scream "office chair." This Matthias Task Chair is just what I needed. Without arm rests, it pushes in almost flush with the counter so that there's still ample room to walk between the tub and the chair. I like that it has casters so that I'm not sliding wood or metal across my new tile floor. And, I wanted something in blue and chrome, which was not easy to find. I do wish it were a tad bit deeper in the seat, but I'm only in it for about 20-minutes max per day to put on make-up; comfort was not my priority. I loved this chair in the photo and I love it more in person because it’s a little lighter in color in person. It was extremely easy to put together. My husband did help which made it go faster. It took us about 30 minutes and that included unwrapping all the parts and breaking down the cardboard afterwards. What I didn’t realize about the chair is that it is very wide. I’m 5’ 4” and 125lbs. but this chair could easily hold a person who weighs 300lbs. The arms are nice the way you can move them completely out of the way which will be good when I’m sewing/quilting. It moves up and down smoothly and the casters also roll nicely on the floor which again is good for sewing and quilting. The box was a little bit banged up but the chair was in good shape.
