I love this curtain so much. I was looking for something I could hang above a window mounted A/C unit and this was just perfect. You do have to fuss with the bow ties to arrange attractively. The seams are messily sewn, with lots of loose threads. I also think the weight of the curtain "Unties" them after some time. Slightly longer ribbons would have allowed for more hanging height options and a prettier bow tie but even with the challenges its still the best man for the job. Curtain rod is actually the one bought and did a review on, now with the blackout curtains. The curtains are velvety and the bedroom is now about 70 darker than before. I would have appreciated it mor if the bacoutwr curtain that faced towards the window was covered by a a much thicker material, it would have made a much better difference. I bought the mauve and gray. The mauve color is very muted; both are beautiful. I I Love the material, the quality, and how well they blackout the sun. They are lined, which helps with energy efficiency. On the outside looking in, the mauve ones are a silky cream color and the gray ones are a silky light gray, which is way better than plain white like many of them are. Bonus points for being weighted. Only knock is that getting the wrinkles out takes some elbow grease. Steamer didn't work. Do not iron them directly. Love these curtains! They say they are blackout and if I had blinds for my windows they most likely would be. They do filter out quite a bit of light even with no blinds and have significantly cooled down the temperature in the room. I like these curtains but I knocked off one star because the background is a cool white and the description led me to believe that the would be more warm cream or light beige.
