I got this 6 pack of dinner plates so that I could check out the colors, design and just get a feel for the quality, BEFORE I commit to purchasing the set. I love, love, love this dish set. The stoneware is high quality. The coating on them almost seems like porcelain but with the sturdy weight of stoneware. The ribbed texture and two toned design are my favorite thing. It makes the dishes look very modern and distinct. This is exactly what we needed - the bowls are beautifully crafted. However, they are slightly larger than I would have preferred, and I was initially concerned they wouldn't fit well in our cabinets. Nonetheless, we managed to make it work. Similarly, I had reservations about the dishwasher taking up too much space, but it turned out to be functional. Despite this, the size of the bowls remains a challenge.
