I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter. Modern Chair of wood and metal. The box of 2 arrived in good condition. There are 3 pieces to each chair and are easily assembled with one person. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable with the extended arm rests. I wanted an upscale modern natural wood chair that did not look like country and this definitely fit that bill. However, I did not understand that the crossbar beneath the seat on the sides is made of metal not wood like the cross bar in the front and back. This was not apparent to me in the picture. They did a good job matching the paint color of the metal bar to the color of the Wood tone. The sturdiness is probably the result of that metal but not exactly what I had in mind. I wish it was all wood. You can see the metal bars in my pictures. I gave it four star because I love the design but dont like the metal piece as much as I would have liked all wood.. Alesia. These chairs are great quality and very sturdy. The color of the wood is light with a smooth finish. The cushion has light padding with a firm seat. Putting the frame of the chair was easy but since the seat didnt have any pre-drilled holes on the bottom I taped the seat onto the frame with painters tape, flipped the chair over and screwed each screw in supporting the other side with my kneeslegs. I read another reviewer stating to mark the spots with white chalk and predrill holes (this wouldve been a lot easier)but I didnt have chalk and a white pencil didnt mark on the material the seat bottom was covered in. The chairs are worth the work! The frame took about 15 mins and the seat, about 10 mins. They are very comfort and feels very sturdy. In this particular case when I got to the second box to put the chairs together there was no hardware packet inside. I went online and put in a complaint. Just got an email today stating the hardware packet should arrive on February 10, so we will see if they send the correct hardware. I don't think I have ever had a purchase from Wayfair that didn't have an issue with something. It is definitely common with this company. I still really like the chairs. Beautiful, real wood chairs! These chairs are gorgeous and have a solid wood frame that looks very high end. They arrived quickly and were fairly easy to put together...it took about 30-45 minutes (great instructions). The wood is a medium color that will go with a lot of decor styles and the chairs are very comfortable to sit on. The back of the chair has a grab handle built in, so they're also easy to move around and relatively lightweight. Nicely made chairs to replace our midcentury set of chairs that has served us well. These new chairs are the exact dimensions of out old chairs, which is great. Seem very sturdy, like the finish on the wood. Seat size is generous. We built them on the floor, which was a bit unwieldy, probably better to do on a work table. Did not have any issues with misaligned holes, but you really have to make sure you have all the parts lined up properly, definitely need two people to put together.
