The color is perfect. It’s a soft brown color and blends nicely with a lot of color schemes. The boucle fabric is super soft and does not look cheap. It came packaged nicely. It was flat but you simply pop it open, put the liner inside and you are ready to use. As you can see, it is pretty deep for storage purposes. There is also not a smell so I feel good about using for storage immediately. Likewise, this is pretty lightweight so you can move to a lot of places and the compact size will fit well in various spaces. I recommend as a cute storage piece. Just to note, I ordered this 3 times before it was actually delivered. I like the bin for the size and the depth it has. I even like the fact that the handles are perfectly "seated" on either side, what I don't like is the lid. The lid comes off easily but doesn't go back on easily. The corners of the lid have to have two hands to get the lid back on.
