It seems like it’s a victim of shrinkflation. I replaced a 25 year old mattress with as close to the same thing as I could find and it was smaller than the orig. I researched many mattresses before deciding on this one. It's for my guest room and won't get daily use, but I still wanted a good quality mattress, which this seems to be! The only issue I had was that even after four days of letting the mattress expand (much longer than what was recommended), the 14" mattress never made it above 12.5".
