The bed itself is very functional. Unfortunately either in the shipping or handling the box was either cut or damaged causing the piece that is the footboard to become damaged. It’s hardly noticeable and the trouble to return. It wouldn’t be worth it therefore, we decided to keep it and cover up the damage with bedding. Very pretty bed. The color was exactly as shown. The slats and the wings on the bed were a pain to attach as it wasn’t lined up and the bottom slat on the right hand side of the bed was shorter than the rest. In all it took about 2 hours to put together. The listing says the bed will hold up to 800 lbs but when I put the mattress on the bed I could hear the wood and it didn’t sound good. This bed was very easy to build. I built it by myself with maybe an hour a little bit more than an hour.
