I like the size of the lamp. It has a smaller footprint and doesn’t take up a lot of room on the end table. I especially like the on/off touch switch at the base of the lamp. The USB port at the base of the lamp is a convenient feature as well. What I don’t like about it, and the reason I gave it a 4, is the lampshade. The shade seems to mute the light coming from the bulb. The light has a yellowish dull glow not very conducive for reading. I have been looking for a black and gold lamp for a long time and finally found this one! It is very nice looking and appears to be good quality. When I received it I felt the shade sat a little too high on the lamp for my taste. It came with a 9 inch harp. I changed it to 7 inch which lowered the shade by 2 inches. This is a nice lamp. It appears high quality. Its very big. The base is about 10 inches wide at its thickest. The candle in the photo is 8 ounces and the tumbler is 16 ounces. The measurements are correct. I probably would have been happy with something a little bit smaller but Ill get used to it. Very cute ceramic lamps! After putting these together there is a slight difference in height. Not a huge deal breaker, but I’ll use on nightstands or separate areas so you won’t notice difference.
