For the price, this thing is amazing. I would prefer it to be heavier so it doesn't slide all over the place, but I didn't want to spend $$$ on the more expensive options, so it still gets 5 stars. Putting trash bags in the liner did take some getting used to, since the mechanism that raises and lowers the lid is attached to the liner — trash bags can get in the way of the lid lowering if you don't adjust it just right. A solid stone construction gives this jar a bit of weight, 2 lbs., that provides a sturdy, stable foundation. Aside from holding cotton balls and swabs in the bathroom, this jar can be used to hold sugar packets, toothpicks, and more in the kitchen. To clean, we recommend hand washing.

I purchased two of these. One had excellent marbling the other looked like it was smeared. The quality of the construction of the jars is good with well fitted lids. I would buy another for my secondary bath, but with the quality of the marbling I will pass. Had both jars looked like the one on the left, this would have 5 stars and I'd have bought a third..
