I love this table and chairs. It is made very well and all Finishes of the screws line up as they should which makes assembly a breeze. The finish is well done too with a beautiful black satin. The seats are comfortable but I added some cushions. It came quickly and the only problem was a crack in the top which could have happened in transit. I worked in furniture for years and saw this all the time. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the company sent a replacement top so the customer service is top notch too. Great purchase.. Beautiful table! Easy to assemble with 2 people. (I would definitely recommend 2 people, I don't even know how it would be possible for 1 person...) The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table.
