On a whole, I like this panel. It ws very easy to assemble, and I love the look of the wood and the black metal together. My biggest issue was the fact that they sent an incorrect piece instead of one of the spacers, and it would have been way to much trouble to get them to replace it, so I had to make due on my own. The space between the slats is designed to provide efficient airflow, and our routed assembly holes allow for perfect slat placement. The Roanoke is made from WoodTek Vinyl which means it has the look and feel of real wood but is really made from premium-grade PVC vinyl. WoodTek Vinyl is virtually maintenance free; it is naturally UV and rust resistant and requires no staining or painting. You will receive unassembled materials for 3 screens and please allow around 90 minutes to build the unit. This screen is freestanding, simply assemble the unit and place it around your air conditioning unit. These are really nice privacy screens. They are a nice design and provide a nice amount of screening. The paint is plenty thick and has a nice powder coat finish to it, which helps in the protection of the paint. Straightforward to put together. Directions say 2 people; I easily did my 2 alone. LOTS of screws - in tight spaces. My fingers did get sore. Not heavy steel, though what I expected for the price. Our state-of-the-art WoodTek vinyl is comprised of material that resembles and feels like natural wood but is premium-grade vinyl. You don’t have to worry about painting, maintaining, or staining. The only tool required for an approximately 90-minute assembly of the 2 panels is a cordless drill and a mallet for a no-dig installation (for the harder ground we recommend using an auger). We want to keep your yard looking as pristine as possible, so we aim to eliminate any sort of digging or concrete. The distance between the panel’s slats is roughly ¾” which makes it perfect for providing you with privacy around patios, decks, or porches while also promoting efficient airflow around air conditioning units. When installed, the distance between the ground and the bottom slat is less than 2 inches meaning dogs, cats, and children will not be able to crawl underneath it.
