Wayfair furniture can be hit or miss, but this is a nice headboard and frame. I chose the dark walnut color and there's no red or yellow tint to it. It's not rustic/raw wood -- there's a finish but it's not high gloss. The design feels well thought out and everything fits together well. Horizontal wood slats are held in place by strong Velcro, which makes it easy to position your mattress. The assembly diagrams made sense and with the help of two yoga blocks for leveling/stability, I didn't need a second person to assist with putting the piece together. (For reference, I definitely had a Wayfair assembler construct my six-drawer dresser -- best money ever spent -- but as a 69-year old woman, I felt comfortable doing this job on my own.). Sabrina.
