Pro: Great wet vac! Did a much better job at stain removal than I expected. Oil based stain in my seat came completely out. Several winters of caked in mud and salt came right out of my floorboards, leaving them looking new. Easy to clean the vacuum when you're done using it. Con: The dry vac only seemed to be an afterthought. For a vacuum designed for a car it was clunky and didn't reach well under seats or in crevices. Did an ok job, but left a LOT behind. Between my dog that sheds and tracks dirt in and toddler on the move, I reach for this tool constantly. What I love most is how it vacuums and mops at the same time. Between dog hair, spilled snacks, and random sticky spots (thanks, toddler), I used to have to vacuum and then go back with a mop. Now it’s one pass and done, which saves a ton of time and energy. I find I am also less annoyed at cleaning messes now because I no longer have to take out an army of cleaning supplies, just the Bissel Crosswave Edge and the job is done in a few quick seconds. It handles pet hair really well on hard floors, and the mopping function actually scrubs up dried-on messes instead of just pushing them around. That’s been huge for things like juice, yogurt, or muddy paw prints. The cordless design is another big win. I can quickly grab it for a 5-minute cleanup after meals or let the toddler run around without dragging a cord everywhere. It’s easy enough that I actually clean more often instead of letting messes pile up. A couple things to keep in mind: It’s best on hard floors—it’ll do area rugs, but it’s not a deep carpet cleaner The battery lasts around 30 to 40 minutes, which I found gave me adequate time to clean all the spaces I need while not lose cleaning power. Well, first, it is NOT a vacuum cleaner, and it’s barely for carpets. Mostly it’s a hard floor cleaner, scrubber, and polisher. It’s a household sized version of the hard floor polishers that large institutions use. I picked this one because it DOESN’T have a tank. The reviews on other sites indicate the tanks can leak, and I’m perfectly capable of using a squirt bottle of cleaner/water/polish. All of Koblenz’s polishers are very similar in terms of hardware, the differences are mostly in tank, included accessories and the length of the cord. The other aspect of these scrubber/polishers is they do not have any suction function, so any liquid you put down, you have to mop up (and if you’re using the carpet brushes on carpet, you want to be sparing with the cleaner, and use Dry Foam or Dry cleaner, not anything formulated for a wet extraction cleaner). That said, I knew that going in, and I knew what I needed. We have 30 year old wood floors that are at the limit of their very old, yellowed polyurethane, and it’s time to refinish them. The polyurethane is worn through in places, so I knew I needed to scrub it off, and a floor sander is a really good way to just destroy floors as a DIYer, but scrubbing pads are pretty forgiving. So I have scrubbed my kitchen floors (and yes, they were dirtier and with more buildup than I realized), have replaced the urethane, and polished with a wood floor specific polish intended for high traffic areas, and they look good as new.
