Very happy with this purchase. I am a gardener and do a lot of home canning. This results in a mixed mess of dirt and vegetable peels and skins and berries. I LOVE the part where only clean water is being used on the floor. I actually end up with CLEAN floors rather than just mostly clean because the water is getting dirty as it's being used. I also have two dogs and a cat and they are all heavy shedders. This handles their fur without issues. I also love the self clean of the brush and clean up is quick and easy. Just dump and rinse and let dry. I would love the option of a larger capacity water tank for larger cleaning tasks so only the dirty fill tank would have to be dumped mid job vs having to also refill the cleaning tank every time too.. Between my dog that sheds and tracks dirt in and toddler on the move, I reach for this tool constantly. What I love most is how it vacuums and mops at the same time. Between dog hair, spilled snacks, and random sticky spots (thanks, toddler), I used to have to vacuum and then go back with a mop. Now it’s one pass and done, which saves a ton of time and energy. I find I am also less annoyed at cleaning messes now because I no longer have to take out an army of cleaning supplies, just the Bissel Crosswave Edge and the job is done in a few quick seconds. It handles pet hair really well on hard floors, and the mopping function actually scrubs up dried-on messes instead of just pushing them around. That’s been huge for things like juice, yogurt, or muddy paw prints. The cordless design is another big win. I can quickly grab it for a 5-minute cleanup after meals or let the toddler run around without dragging a cord everywhere. It’s easy enough that I actually clean more often instead of letting messes pile up. A couple things to keep in mind: It’s best on hard floors—it’ll do area rugs, but it’s not a deep carpet cleaner The battery lasts around 30 to 40 minutes, which I found gave me adequate time to clean all the spaces I need while not lose cleaning power. If I could give this 10 starts I would. I used to have a competitor brand that had not so good suction - and I just thought that was how all home steam cleaners were, so I've gone a long time without having a steam cleaner in my home - and my carpets looked like it. Recently my German Shepherd has decided to mark in the house so I had to do something. This Shark steam cleaner is nothing short of a miracle. SO easy to use. And so effective. I cleaned 4 areas and the carpet looks like new - with no residual pet odor or strong cleaning solution odor. The suction is so efficient that my carpet was dry within 3 hours (with the help of a fan I set on it). Yesterday I came home from work on lunch and my Australian Shepherd had eaten almost a whole bag od treats and it gave her - we'll just say - digestive problems. it was a disaster on my area rugs - 4 different areas. I cleaned up the bulk of the "waste" first then set this Shark to work and let me tell you - my area rugs have not looked this clean since I first rolled them out. I didn't know if I was going to do my area rugs with this because I was worried about water getting through to the hardwood - but it uses so little water in somehow such an efficient way that there was no dampness on the bottom of the rugs... I checked in several places. When I ordered it, I was worried about the size of the dirty water tank as some of the reviews talked about how small it is - but to me it was perfect. Manageable. My older steam cleaner had a huge dirty water tank and it was messy and cumbersome to empty. The tank on this Shark is perfect to just pull off and dump in the toilet - give it a good rinse and click it back into place. Same with the clean water/solution tank. All very easy to manage. Trust me - this is THE one you want. I've now used it on regular pile carpet in the upstairs of my house and on low pile area rugs and it is nothing short of shocking on how well this thing works. Note - I've yet to use the hand tool part. The blue solution that comes with it is in a larger container than the main solution in the yellow labeled bottle. To me that should be the other way around. I use far more of the regular yellow labeled solution than the blue labeled one for the hand tool. And I ordered 4 sets of the solution in my original order - not knowing that this would be the case and again the blue bottle is bigger. I guess people use the hand tool more than I do. Anyways - in future I'll just be ordering the yellow label by itself... it'll take me a long time to work through using the blue label solution with the hand held tool. Bad knees and hands - so I'm just not one to get down on my hands and knees to do that kind of thing and the main part of the machine is literally so effective I haven't had to do that. Good luck. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dyson looks very smart, but is quite a large unit to keep somewhere out of the way. I positioned ours in the kitchen, a fairly central position in the house. I wanted it to clean the kitchen, hallway, cloakroom and office which is all hard flooring. The setup of the Dyson was fairly staightforward in mapping the floor layout with all the obstacles like tables, chairs, dog bed, etc. I set it to clean at 1am each morning, alternating between vacuuming and scrubbing the floor. The first couple of times it seemed to work well in vacuuming the floor and then washing it. However, on several occasions, the Dyson app would show that it completed the clean in very few minutes. The app shows where the Dyson had cleaned and it seemed very sporadic, missing out complete areas. This was the same for both vacuuming and washing. I even tested it during the daytime on a manual vacuum and it only did sporadic parts of the kitchen and office. When it did work well, the suction of the Dyson is very good and I particularly like the way it transfers the dry rubbish from the robot to the main docking station so you don't have to empty the robot every time it docks. The storage tanks for the clean and dirty water is great as they are dead easy to empty or refill. I like the way that the Dyson heats up the solution to make it easier to clean the floor rather than using cold water. Other occasions when I've watched the robot do a wash of the floors, it will start close to the docking station, but not finish washing the kitchen, then go to the office which is furthest point, then back to kitchen and go over what it has already done. It would then return to the docking station to clean rollers/recharge, then off again and clean what it's already done, but then not finish the rest of the kitchen. It did not follow any logic for a AI powered robot. One of the most enfuriating things was when trying to connect to the robot when it was docked and the app said it couldn't connect and to try again. I would then press the power button on the robot to then see if it would connect to the app, but no, it would go into a self clean cycle, which effectively stopped it from seeing my phone/app anyway.. It is a very strong vacuum cleaner, I was really surprised when I vacuumed the rugs that were recently vacuumed with another vacuum cleaner that this one picked up so much dirt and dust.
