It is not only a lamp but also a work of art. Note: please note this product does not contain any glass material. The glass-like thing in the nest is some kind of thin transparent film we use to creat a more attactive shooting effect, it doesn't belong to this product.

This really fit the bill (pun unintended) - a conventional light in the middle of the wall would have looked ridiculous. How it perches in its twin sockets is novel to me - you just place it on its mounting. I received my parrot lamp and I am ECSTATIC! I have waited SO long to get it and I finally was able to! It is SO much prettier in person and a LOT bigger than I anticipated. We have not mounted it yet. as now we will have to change out a light to put it there but the quality is just amazing. There is a hole beneath their beaks to allow for additional light to get out and you can feel the quality of the light. There are no bulbs that come with it but a standard bulb will do.
