I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. This cage is large and durable. Assembly was a bit complicated as a few pieces were mislabeled, but after process of elimination I was able to figure it out. You’ll definitely need someone to help you with the way the screws and nuts are placed. For a bird cage it’s different in the sense that it’s a chicken wire pattern rather than vertical bars, and it doesn’t have built in food and water doors. Overall, it’s a fairly decent cage.. It wasn't bad enough to prevent assembly but I did have to take some pliers and bend some pieces to make them fit properly. I love how much room my birds have. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included. Pretty well constructed. Everything fit together nicely. Directions are a bit vague at times. But my 16 year old daughter assembled it completely on her own with the tools provided in the kit. Fit and finish is nice. Rather sturdy for a wire cage versus a wrought iron cage. But thats why the price is half of a wrought iron.
