This could not have worked out any better for my cat. We just moved into a new house, and we wanted our cat to be able to go outside but not run away. There is no way for my cat to get out of this cage unless they dug under. We have a lot of predators, and this cage definitely allows time for the cat to get back through the cat door and into the house. We put it in front of a window with a cat door. It is very well made. I put it together by myself, which was a little bit of a struggle, but I still was able to do it. A tip is to use zip ties to loosely hold it together while you’re screwing it together.. Liss. This thing is HUGE! I needed a larger, roomier cage for my two macaws, and their old cage was falling apart. This cage will be wonderful for them. It's very tall, so they will feel secure perching up high. The cage comes with four perches, but you'll need a lot more and swings to fill it up. The cage is well made, and the bar spacing is correct. The price cannot be beat.. Deborah. WA. Thu May 14 2026

I hand-assembled this myself. It suggests that you NOT use power tools, so I did not. I kept scraping my knuckles on the wire when I was using the screwdriver, so wear gloves. In hindsight, I feel certain power tools would have been fine on the lowest setting. I love this - I moved parakeets to the front porch in an area where they are protected from the rain, have a breeze, and are not baking in direct sun. I can see them from inside, so I am constantly checking on them. This gave them so much more room than most cages. Parkeet are horizontal fliers and ground feeders, so the benefit from wider cages like this. They also fee safe if they can be higher than you, so this cage gives them a place to go up high, and I have to lead down to see up at them when the are at the top I might heat it for the winter, or just bring them back inside. So far, no predators have attempted to get in the cage. I check every day for marks, to see if anyone is trying.. Anne. Raleigh, NC. Sun Jun 29 2025
