Crafted from kiln-dried solid mango wood, this piece borrows inspiration from the classic farmhouse table. It took a couple weeks to get this table. When I first got it , I really liked the design and how well it is made , but I was not totally thrilled with the color. It was a little light and maybe even a pinkish hue. If you get a table and you will not happy with the color you can use chalk-Tequesta dark wax. Put one coat on way about an hour and do a very light buffing. Beautiful table. Nice sleek style but be prepared for 1-2 replacements and needing to be present for delivery. I missed two delivery windows because I was not aware it came with white glove service even if you didnt request it. The first table came very damaged so they sent a replacement. That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. Update December 2025: with minimal use and a protective cover, this table has issues with the top. The inlay seemed to shrink? I added a photo of the gap. I only found out today when I removed the cover (it was time for a new one, which I have done once before because, again, minimal use). I am not even sure how to fix this... .... To be fair, this was just delivered. The table is solid and hefty. The color is very dark, almost a gray black, which is fine by me. You definitely need 2 people to put this together - I opted to have installation and I don't regret it! The table is big even without the leaf (see pic with chairs - yes, I have 8 chairs but took 2 out for a better pic). Either end space doesn't pull up close to the table because of the legs, but when you sit in the chair it is very comfortably spaced. Under the table, when sitting on the side chairs, it is very comfortable too, with decent elbow room (yes, even whithout the leaf and 3 chairs per side). Like others said, around the top's edge is a gap so you might need toothpicks to clean the groove, but it isn't obnoxious. The leaf gap is tight with the clamps in place, so that is also good. The extension mechanism is a chain wheel so it is smooth to pull apart. That said, i would assume it needs to be checked every so often. I can't speak to that since I just got the table.. Sheri.
