With warp and weft threads of different thicknesses, the sense of texture is elevated to create a combination of sheen and matte looks from different angles. Great, I need to order one more. Dorothy. Carmel, NY. Fri Jul 03 2026

If your windows could use a touch of yesteryear's sophistication, but you don't want to change your curtains or screens, consider a valance. Popular in Elena's decorating, the 38"W x 46"L valance is a decorative weave of fabric hung to give windows an interior bunting effect. Perfect for a bit of window dressing, this faux-silk piece features tassels inspired by the 19th Century, but with a slightly more contemporary update, and if you are looking to recreate the look pictured, three valances are necessary. Only one is included, need to purchase 3 valances to create the same look as the image.
