The lights are also stuck directly to the mirror, which you have to manually do with no markings of where to put each bulb so they are symmetrical, and the wires sit on top of the mirror. This is a great little vanity/desk, especially given the price point. It's a tad smaller than I expected, but that is perfectly fine as it will be in a smaller room. Shipping was quick and FedEx delivery was seamless. It took 2 of us about 6 hours to build, but we very much took our time. We are not professionals by any means, but we're OK with a screwdriver, and that's the only tool you'll need. A very well made one is included with the hardware. About an hour of our time was spent laying out all the pieces in a logical order (be sure you do this as it will save a lot of confusion and time seeking for the right part), and then cross-checking to ensure that we had everything we were supposed to have, which we did. The many (many) parts and all of the hardware are very well labeled, and all of the predrilled holes lined up very well. The only very minor snafu we had was one piece missing its predrilled holes. As it turned out, the holes were indeed there, but had been covered with laminate that was not drilled through. This was a simple fix and we were quickly back to building. If you read carefully, follow the instructions, and TAKE YOUR TIME, you'll have a beautiful and well-made vanity (that can double as a desk) with color changing lights and plenty of storage space.
