These cabinet knob backplates are constructed of stamped steel and come in a chrome-plated finish. Backplates like these are used on both cabinet doors and drawer faces to prevent the wearing of finished wood, and the unsightly accumulation of dirt and grime. These cabinet knob backplates do not include any installation fasteners, but they come with pre-punched holes for quick and easy installation.

They are definitely as described, but I was hoping for a more even finish and a chrome-like look to set off some chrome knobs I purchased at the same time. The finish isn't as smooth as the polished chrome knobs, and in truth they seem a lot bigger than I really imagined this diameter would be. I remain impressed by the value of these backplates compared to the ridiculous cost of other, similar backplates, but I urge you to simply make sure these are absolutely the finish you are looking for if they are supposed to match with something or will be on display..
