The 270 degree view of this fireplace is really visually appealing. Ambiance is great But, the sides are a little bulky looking on sides behind the glass panel. I feel it would look best as with a recessed mount. Installation as a wall mount is simple! The colors of the flames can be changed and look fantastic hitting the faux crystal placed at the bottom. Heat output is excellent even on low! Although, it is only has high and low as temperatures settings. A remote and everything you need for mounting is included. Just finished putting together this electric mist fireplace. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it since I have never seen anything like it before and didn’t know how the watermist effect would work. But Wow! This is so cool. It has multiple different color options, fog density options, lengths of time that you can set it to, cycles it can run through, and it basically acts as a humidifier. It has a little bit of a noise with it since it has fans behind it that run, but it is in no way overly noisy so it could be covered with a running tv or music. It also has a bit of a water moving noise like any humidifier does but I don’t mind that at all and find it relaxing. This could have been a wonderful 5-star review ... if only the fireplace worked. The mantel looks wonderful. I love my room with it in it. But this is supposed to be an electrical fireplace, not merely a piece of furniture. It's supposed to heat the room and to display a realistic looking flame. It did none of that when I got it. The remote doesn't work at all. And ever since it arrived, nearly a month ago, I've been trying to get someone to help me fix or replace this. After a few phone calls they promised to send a replacement for the firebox. But then I got an email saying the replacement was canceled. It turns out that was an error. I did get a package, but I had no idea what it was. No indication it came from Wayfair. It didn't look like the firebox. It was some sort of transformer/converter, with all print in Chinese, which I can't read. I finally spent an hour on the phone with a very nice lady at Wayfair, and we figured out that the transformer fixed part of the problem. I got heat! But the remote still doesn't work and I can't access most functions. And if I turn the heat on, I need to burn my fingers to turn it off on the fireplace without the remote. I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace.
