I chose not to add the back panel to my vanity only because as you can tell with the picture I included, because the it backs right up to my mirror making the setup perfect without the extra "backsplash". The vanity comes all the way assembled except for the sink is built into the marble slab and that is one piece. The counter-top is extremely heavy, so be careful when carrying it and placing it on top of your vanity. The drawer are soft close and that is so exciting. I opened the box and looked at it and all seems to be in tacked. I have not brought it out yet as I am waiting on some of my other bathroom items to get done.
