There are some really cool features with this gazebo that I must've missed when originally looking at the description but number one for me is that the roof panels actually let in some light. Somewhat translucent-ish. They are not totally sun blocking which in the Pacific Northwest is HUGE. Assembly was easy enough. I put it together in an afternoon with a little bit of help. I live about 1,000ft from a bay that connects to the Gulf. Our area requires 150mph wind rating. This only has a 35mph wind rating. Honestly, I’m not sure of any place that never gets wind over 35mph. It says 400lb but its still light if u live in high wind areas u might need to purchase something more strudy than this. I purchased the handy service for install those guys were professional and did an excellent job. However wayfair pays them pennies to install and they charge us $600+. Not fair wayfair. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! I could not be happier with my three gazebos from Purple Leaf! Each unit came together very well, and they look spectacular! The quality and fit and finish is excellent! These gazebos have a lot of parts, and are a lot of work to put together If you are not familiar with tools or determination, then I strongly suggest you hire professional installers My largest: 24’x14’ - tool myself and 2 other well versed guys an entire day to errect (not including shades and screens) All gazebos will be best raised with 3 people; and ones larger than 20’ will be best with 4 Good things take time - and these were well worth the effort The slide rail systems are excellent - just make sure you install the shades first (outside rail), and be very aware of which section specifically goes where (for units not equally square) Assembly instructions were 90% great A few more photos and some additional direction (shades shiny UV side out, anchor and general connect tips and details about rain drainage) would be helpful The low voltage lights look great and are easily trimmed to fit The double roof expels unwanted warm air very well The overall structure feels very solid and secure We have received MANY compliments already; and I have shared the Purple Leaf link to a handful of friends, and will continue to do so Purple Leaf also makes great looking, oversized chaise lounge chairs - that I just might have to add as well Thank you Purple Leaf, for helping to make my backyard oasis a reality!
