We were skeptical to buy due to no previous reviews, but I am so glad we purchased! Assembly is a little tough due to the angle of the legs, but after that putting the top on is simple. (I assembled it alone, would definitely be easier with a partner!) The wheels are already attached to the base and the table rolls very easily. It is heavy and sturdy and seems to be a quality piece that will last us years to come! Very pleased with our purchase. For clarification, the base is a square 34" x 34" with the top being 42" x 42" at the widest middle point, and the length between each octagon corner being 30". The diagonal of the table is 51". We love this coffee table. It looks great and was easy to put together. I took a star off because the wood is pretty soft. It will be interesting to see if it can survive our toddlers. Touched by the marks of time, our Alexandra collection is a rugged homage to classic farmhouse design. Its rough-hewn planks are harvested from stocks of reclaimed wood bearing a unique combination of saw marks, gouges, dents, pits, and nail holes that differ with each piece. Natural knot and grain patterns are sealed to perfection with a rich Smoky Taupe finish. Reclaimed parts are predominantly pine and show random dents, gouges, stains and color variances only found on recycled wood, which vary from piece to piece.
