UPDATE 7 months later the fabric is not standing up well. It pills very easily and the back cushions are losing their shape - even though we rotate them. ___ This sofa is a great option if you’re looking for something slightly elevated on a budget. The slipcovers fit really well - my one complaint (hence the 4 stars) is that there is some drooping along the front panel of the slipcover. The fabric is lovely. It was really simple to assemble - it took 2 of us about 20 minutes. And there is a center support leg for additional sturdiness. Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. I really wanted to like this sofa. The photos online make it look so nice and sophisticated. But in reality it looks frumpy and cheap. None of the cushions actually fit correctly. The seat cushions are too long for the actual seat frame. The side cushions are cut at a right angle but the arms of the chair where they are supposed to fit are curved, so there ends up being a big gap (see photos). The foam filling the cushions comes to a taper at the sides where the fabric cover is flat, so there are big folds and creases at the edges (see photos). In addition, Wayfair sent me this product not once, but TWICE, in boxes that clearly were not meant to fit -- as in, the pieces of the sofa were bursting out of the sides of the cardboard box. This is a nice looking sofa at a good price! I like the shape and the fabric. A few things to note: 1) I ordered "brown" but it really reads "gray"; however, the color is pretty neutral so it goes with anything; add some pillows and it looks great; 2) the back is FIRM so you really sit upright on it; this isn't something you sink into; 3) it's really comfortable to lay down on, which is what I wanted. Received my sofa today and it’s great! I really think there’s pretty good quality. The only complaint is the skirt is a little wrinkled on the left side. I’m hoping with some steam pressing and time it will straighten out. The qualities is good delivery was excellent only took a month and it ended up being cheaper than buying it on Birch Lane!. UPDATE the center leg kept bending sideways and the couch would fall down! Today the leg completely broke off. It’s just me in the home with the dog and we are gentle. Very disappointed!! Need new couch. Delivery day I wanted to love this couch, and there are things I really do like about it—but unfortunately, the negatives were hard to overlook. First off, the screws around the frame were difficult to get in because the foam was too thick and the screws wouldn’t catch the threads properly. It took much longer than it should have, and I had to redo sections multiple times. To make matters worse, the included Allen key stripped after just a couple of screws and didn’t fit the bolts properly. If you’re putting it together, definitely use your own tools. One of the most frustrating parts was the seat slats. You can’t get them in unless you loosen up the frame again after you’ve already secured it—which feels like going backwards and risks everything slipping out of place. Now that it’s assembled, I’ve been trying to enjoy it. The beige color is absolutely gorgeous—a warm, slightly speckled tone that fits beautifully with my decor. That’s definitely a highlight. Another major plus the entire couch is washable, which is rare and incredibly practical. That feature is probably the biggest trade-off for the comfort issues. Speaking of comfort—the seat cushions are very firm and slope down toward the center, so if you’re not sitting dead center, it can feel awkward. I’m hoping they loosen up over time, but for now, they’re not great for lounging. The back cushions are soft but under-filled, and the back itself is quite low—not nearly as supportive as it looks in the pictures. I’m planning to add throw pillows (maybe even a fluffy seat topper) to make it more livable. Overall, it’s a beautiful-looking couch with some thoughtful features like the washable covers, but the comfort and assembly left a lot to be desired.
