This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture. This couch is beautiful and compliments my mid century home beautifully. It is comfortable and sits 3 adults perfectly. I love that it is lightweight and easy to move when cleaning. The only downside to this sofa was that for the simplicity of the parts that were included, it took a very long time to put together because the directions lacked specifics to the placement of the beams when attaching. Easy to assemble and well-packaged. This can be used as part of a sectional, but we’re using it as a small love seat. It seems durable and like it will work well for our purposes, but for some reason they adhered a parts number label to the surface of one of the cushions - which is visible - and it’s bonded to the material So … not sure how we’re going to get that off. We’ll figure something out, but it’s a pain. Considered three stars tbh but it seems like a decent value for the price. And it would be a hassle to send the whole thing back. I am 510 and I can lay almost completely between the armrests. My head is propped up just a smidge. It took a full 48 hours for all parts of it to be fully fluffed, and its a little on the stiff side, but Id still use it (this is going to be the kids couch). I dont think Id use it for the adults couch because I feel like Im going to slide off the front of it.
