The pieces are fired at a very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear, durable, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by the mould in which the glass is pressed. It is the characteristic of pressed machine glass, symbolizing its French heritage.

The size works, but it feels slightly limiting when I want to pack a heartier serving. Even so, they have a solid, sturdy feel and they clean up easily, which I appreciate on busy evenings when I am trying to get everything ready for the next day. The ceramic bowls themselves wash beautifully, but the plastic lids behave like most plastic lids do and tend to stain when used with tomato‑based soups or sauces. Because of that, I have been avoiding tomato dishes when packing lunches. Where these crocks truly shine is breakfast prep. They are the perfect size for yogurt parfaits layered with fruit and berries, and I love that the set includes four. It allows me to prepare several breakfasts at once and keep them ready in the refrigerator for the week. Because of that, they don’t match perfectly, even though they are from the same company. I wish I had known the color difference before ordering.
