It was finally time to switch out my heavy quilt for my new lighter bedspread. I searched high and low for a split corner bedspread with longer sides and came across this one. It needed to be open to allow for the posters and legs an I wasn’t certain if the corners unbuttoned but, fortunately, they did. It’s perfect and a nice weight with a matching pillow and shams with buttons. I bought two cream throw pillows on this site and matching buttoned linen euro shams elsewhere and I think it looks great. I did wash everything before using and it all washed up great. I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them!
