The bed itself is very functional. Unfortunately either in the shipping or handling the box was either cut or damaged causing the piece that is the footboard to become damaged. It’s hardly noticeable and the trouble to return. It wouldn’t be worth it therefore, we decided to keep it and cover up the damage with bedding. Nice solid bed frame! Love the look of the wood. Relatively easily assembly. Only downside were there weren’t enough slats provided so when the mattress went down it would sink in the most dense part of the body so I needed to take my two slat boards from my old bed and place them on top of the new frame’s slats..
