All pieces arrived in great condition, individually packaged well. Boxes were a bit heavy but manageable. All screws and parts are here, extra screws included. Took me 30-45 min to assemble. Very slight smell out of package but that should go away. Frame is steel on both sides, with an extra support leg in the middle - i ordered this model because reviews of similar cheaper daybeds with no middle support had cracked in the centre. Legs are plastic but seem fine. Wood slats are sturdy, not thin. The grey upholstery is textured with flecks of dark and light grey, not a solid grey colour. I wish it came in black, but this grey is fine too, and the overall look is modern with clean lines. Confirming the back is not upholstery as other reviews have mentioned, so this day bed has to go against a wall. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The room is currently unusable. As a long-standing Wayfair customer, I have never experienced anything like this. Returning it would also be a tremendous hassle because I paid for professional assembly and would now need it disassembled and package item. I truly regret this purchase. I got the green daybed. The colors were true emerald which is lovely next to house plants. The bed feels sturdy but my only issue was the lack of a central support beam. So I just built one from some planks of wood. All in all, I am very pleased with this piece of furniture and I get to enjoy it as a couch and just sit on it getting some sunlight while reading. Cons: The back rest cushions are probably more thick than they need to be. This causes a pretty shallow sitting length and your thighs will hang off the front most likely. The underside of the small pillows I received have a very differnet looking grippy section that I haven't found functional or tasteful.
