All pieces arrived in great condition, individually packaged well. Boxes were a bit heavy but manageable. All screws and parts are here, extra screws included. Took me 30-45 min to assemble. Very slight smell out of package but that should go away. Frame is steel on both sides, with an extra support leg in the middle - i ordered this model because reviews of similar cheaper daybeds with no middle support had cracked in the centre. Legs are plastic but seem fine. Wood slats are sturdy, not thin. The grey upholstery is textured with flecks of dark and light grey, not a solid grey colour. I wish it came in black, but this grey is fine too, and the overall look is modern with clean lines. Confirming the back is not upholstery as other reviews have mentioned, so this day bed has to go against a wall. DO NOT BUY!!!!! I am extremely disappointed with this daybed. It was professionally assembled on August 27, and the odor is absolutely horrific. Even after airing out the room with the windows open for more than 24 hours, the smell remains overwhelming and is permeating beneath the closed door into my hallway and other rooms. The room is currently unusable. As a long-standing Wayfair customer, I have never experienced anything like this. Returning it would also be a tremendous hassle because I paid for professional assembly and would now need it disassembled and package item. I truly regret this purchase. I got the green daybed. The colors were true emerald which is lovely next to house plants. The bed feels sturdy but my only issue was the lack of a central support beam. So I just built one from some planks of wood. All in all, I am very pleased with this piece of furniture and I get to enjoy it as a couch and just sit on it getting some sunlight while reading. Cons: The back rest cushions are probably more thick than they need to be. This causes a pretty shallow sitting length and your thighs will hang off the front most likely. The underside of the small pillows I received have a very differnet looking grippy section that I haven't found functional or tasteful. I’m pretty happy with this purchase, way less expensive than most of the mainstream ones. I took one star off for comfort and back height, it’s extremely low so you can’t sit in it like a regular couch unless you stack pillows against the wall. Definitely will meet the need for when I have extra guests. Can be slept on as a twin or folded out to a queen. Overall I’m happy with it. This is perfect for my needs, I just wanted something that looked nice but also was functional. The color is a very nice gray and it fits the small space I had. It is hard but not that uncomfortable. I won't know how well it last for a few months, but as of now I am really happy. It took my grandson a little over an hour to put together.
