The colors are stunning the desk is heavy and the materials dont look cheap or fake. I was apprehensive about the fake marble but it looks great. Ran into a couple issues while assembling bc there wasnt enough of certain kinds of screws. Also be mindful of the orientation you want the desk. Kidney-shaped desk with gilt-tooled black leather top.  A high-end antique reproduction with variegated walnut cross-banded raised panels, solid oak drawers, and black leather inset top.  This kidney desk sits on two pedestal cabinets and a privacy panel. The generous privacy panel features a removable rear panel, revealing a storage area suitable for a large surge protector or monitor lift. The top of the desk has a large hinged trap door with a half-moon cutout for cable management. The desk has graduated drawers on the left, two pencil drawers, and a large storage area on the right.  The doors and drawers feature finely decorated brass pulls, which were crafted using traditional lost-wax casting techniques.  The desk is a medium golden brown, which coordinates well with walnut and mahogany. The lightly distressed finish on this desk is the result of a meticulous, multi-step process that creates a warm, patina-rich appearance resembling a period piece.  The finish is forgiving, easy to touch up, and suitable for active families.   The glazed black leather top has warm undertones and gilt tooling. Would NOT recommend this desk at all. It's very small, wobbly, and not usable as a working desk. This is more like a child's desk. Also, it's not smooth on the top - it has wood grooves so you can't right on it. WAY overpriced for what it is. On top of it, the delivery was terrible - it was supposed to be signed for and placed in the house. It was left outside, on a rainy day, when we weren't home. I hurt my back moving it inside. Nice desk. Went with grey color and like it. Very heavy box and material. Material feels like it is made from that plastic that picnic or school tables are made with. Wood grain look is nicerealistic. I don’t think it will scratch easily. Because there are two configuration options it is quite confusing, mainly the drawer part, but holes lined up just fine. I have used this desk for years now, 3 years of college work. It is the perfect size, I can comfortably fit two monitors and still have room to write or do crafts. Desks themselves are sturdy and stylish. The push doors are a nuisance, however. They are finicky and require perfection to open and close properly. It’s not necessarily the worst thing but can be annoying. The assembly was long and arduous (I worked alone so 2 people might work better).
