This is my second time purchasing this set. The first set lasted seven years and three moves. I have nothing bad to say- the set up is easy and we didn’t run into any issues. I built the chairs myself which took about 1.5 hours for all four. My husband built the table which took him about an hour. All the pieces are very sturdy and good quality. Around year five we added some extra screws to the table base, but this was probably only needed due to disassembling and reassembling the table multiple times. This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. I really like it! I had my doubts as we were taking it out of the box. I thought it looked too big. And too white. But now surrounded by chairs and the couch, it's perfect. It's really cute and the shabby chic distressed-look is just right. You may get splinters a bit however along the edges. So if you're looking for upscale and formal, this may not work for you.
