While the quality isnt the best, I think the other two reviews are way too harsh. The drawers are definitely not the best but they do open and close. One review says they dont open and close. Overall really like the product. When we got it put together and tried the drawers it shut so tight that it just slid across our hardwood floor. We realized there was a rubber piece that locked it in place once shut. I’m sure it would eventually wear down so it wasn’t hard to open but we just removed them and that seems to be perfect. i ordered two of these to put side by side in bedroom, they’ve held up well over the past couple years, my cat likes to scratch the front of the drawers, luckily it doesn’t leave scratch marks. the drawers can be a bit tricky to pull in and out because it’s just wood on wood and not on a metal track but i knew that before buying them and it’s not a deal breaker for me. i still open and close them everyday without frustration. i took 1 star off because some of the veneer on the edge was unstuck and sticking up when we received the item. wayfair did give a partial refund as compensation.
