Construction feels very solid. The lamp arrives ready to use right out of the box with no assembly headaches. The fabric shade has a clean, textured look that works well in most rooms, and the overall build quality is better than a lot of the cheap cordless lamps I’ve tried. Charging is straightforward — just set the lamp on the pad. I like the simplicity of that system, but the lamp sits a little wobbly on the charger compared with the strong magnetic mounts you get on phones. That feels like a missed opportunity. A better magnetic or locking connection would have made the product noticeably more refined. The light itself is controlled by a simple touch sensor on top that cycles through three color temperatures. The LED puts out a soft, even glow that makes excellent accent lighting for a side table, nightstand, or powder room. It’s not bright enough to read by on its own, but for ambient use it’s spot-on. The only real frustration is the charging indicator. When the lamp is on the pad and the light is off, a red status LED shines through the shade and throws a noticeable red glow into the room. It doesn’t do this when the lamp is not charging, so it’s purely a design oversight. Overall I’m pleased. It’s a well-built, good-looking lamp that delivers clean accent light with almost no fuss. What a pretty little light this lamp is on my table. I just plugged it in and please note you’ll need to use the USB C charger that comes with it in order to use the lamp. I miss the old days of just plugging in a lamp to an outlet and you’re all set. The nice thing is that even in a power outage it will still work. I don’t know for how long yet.
