Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. This birdbath was very pretty but it arrived with manufacturer damage. The pipe for the top of the fountain was completely off center and couldn't be attached to the bottom pedestal. My encounter with customer service was painless. I was able to send photos of the damage and because of the size of the package the shipping carrier picked it up at my house.
