I love it! It looks like realistic logs during the day. And in the evening the glowing embers and flame effect look very realistic and amazing. I’m do agree with others that the crackling sound is not realistic so we don’t turn it on. The other thing we did was place a small metal can (altoids can) under the back side to lean it forward a little, so the flames shoot higher. That is a personal preference though.. Jennifer. There is a reason people keep a fireplace in a house that does not need one. It is not the heat. It is the ten minutes after dinner when everyone stops talking and looks at the fire. This gives you those ten minutes without the wood, the ash, the chimney or the smoke. Stand it in an existing fireplace opening or against a bare wall, plug it in, press a button. The logs are molded to look like split pine, with charcoal embers glowing underneath and a flame that moves the way a real fire does, never quite repeating itself. Kill the room lights and it is convincing enough that guests ask. That is the whole point. The remote runs everything. Three brightness levels let you match the room: the lowest for a movie, the brightest for a holiday table. And because the flame and the heater sit on separate switches, you can have the fire in July and the warmth in December, without heating a room you did not want heated. When you do want heat, there are two settings. 750W takes the edge off a mild evening. 1500W is enough to make a real difference in a living room, a bedroom or a small apartment. It runs without the drone that forces you to raise your voice, so the conversation and the film stay out front. The unit is freestanding, 26 in wide and about 18 lb, and the black steel body with its painted finish reads traditional rather than modern. A city apartment, a big living room, a Christmas corner: it settles into all of them. The last thing worth saying: this fire never needs feeding. No splitting, no ash, no cleaning, no waiting for it to catch. Just the part of a fireplace people actually wanted.

This electric fireplace stove brings a cozy, traditional feel to your space without the hassle of a real fire. The brick-lined firebox and artificial logs create a realistic flickering flame effect that you can enjoy with or without the heat. It's built with infrared technology to warm up to 1,000 square feet, helping to maintain natural humidity for a more comfortable environment. The adjustable thermostat and flame settings let you customize the ambiance and temperature to suit your needs. Plus, the compact freestanding design allows you to move this heater from room to room.

Enjoy up to 1,000 square feet of toasty supplemental heat that helps you save money on heating bills. You can adjust all heater and flame effect functions from anywhere in the room with the included remote control. No hookups or vents are required for this electric log set. Simply plug it in and enjoy. Manufactured and distributed by Twin-Star International, Inc., under license from Duraflame, Inc. duraflame®, the flame symbol, and logo are registered trademarks of Duraflame, Inc.

Sooo beautiful! I love how realistic the logs look! I love the amber effect when they're lit. The temp blows out hot, but my one star removal is because there's not a way to easily go up and down in temp on the remote or on the unit, when you push the button it just goes up in degrees to eventually reset back down. You can go down one if you went too high in temp. The entire base of unit gets super hot. But it is self-contained heat, meaning it doesn't make the surround or the thing it's sitting on hot. Only any areas right in front of the heating element get hot, so can't have wood or other combustibles in that area. But if you have wood or other combustible material underneath or to the sides or to the back, it will not get hot. So that's nice. It's compact in width but deep. The feet extend further than the unit itself, so note that if building your fireplace yourself like I'm working on. Otherwise, still love it! (Ps, after you turn it off, it takes a minute or so for the blower to stop. Then it takes a little while got the metal frame to stop being hot. But, love the ambiance!. Megan. US. Fri Oct 16 2026

For the coziest setting, only this toasty duraflame® Electric Log Set Heater will do. Place it in your fireplace and watch the flames dance all night long. No vents to install, no gas lines to run, and no construction needed! All you need is an existing fireplace and an outlet. The logs project a lifelike flame effect onto the back of your fireplace, giving you the look of a traditional fire (but without the messy clean-up). Not only does this log set enhance your space, it delivers toasty heat that warms any area up to 400 square feet, which can help reduce those costly energy bills. Simply use this heater in the rooms you use the most. Rather than heating your entire home and vacant rooms, lower your thermostat and use this supplemental heater to save up to 15% during the winter months.

I didn't even know Duraflame made heaters! I have only used their fire starters before. This heater puts out so much heat! I haven't been able to test it in the cold of the winter yet but it's currently 80 degrees outside and I can feel the heat from it from several feet away even with it this warm outside. The flame effects it puts off on the backside really emulate real looking flames too. I love it.. Meghan. Austin, TX. Thu Oct 08 2026

Every living room has one. The corner behind the chair. The wall the TV does not face. The spot that collects a lamp and a plant and nothing else.Put a fire there and watch what happens. That is the whole trick of this thing. It is a 23 inch unit, freestanding, and about 16 lb, so it goes where a fireplace was never going to be built: Stand it in an old fireplace opening, or against the wall. Plug in the 120V cord, press a button, and the corner becomes the best seat in the house. The logs are molded to look like split pine, with charcoal embers glowing in the gaps and a flame that drifts the way a real fire does, never quite repeating itself. Switch the room lights off and it is convincing enough that guests ask. That is the point.Everything runs off the remote. Three brightness levels take you from a low fire during a film to a bright one at a dinner party, without getting out of the chair. The flame holds one warm, steady tone, which is what fire actually looks like. It is not a light show. The flame and the heater sit on separate switches. In September you get the fire with none of the heat. In January you get 750W to take the edge off, or 1500W when the room genuinely needs warming. And it runs without the fan drone that makes you turn the television up.You never feed it. No splitting, no ash, no chimney, no sweeping, no waiting for it to catch. Just the part of a fireplace anybody actually wanted.
