I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. Only reason for 4 stars is that the “white light” option is too bright white/ cool in color for my liking. If it were a warm white I would be totally in love with these sconces! Remote works well. In my picture you can see how bright the sconces are compared to the nice warm color of the bedside lamp. This is the sconces on the “white” setting at low brightness. More then what I expected. They work great. Was easy to put together and hang. Just enough lighting to relax in that's it. Not bright at all as can see in the picture (only have 1 on in the picture and its on full brightness it goes to) so if your looking for something with brightness this isn't it. Compliments the bed. Needed to replace the brass sconces. The only issue i had was that the mounting bracket screws did not align well with the electrical boc because the mounting studs for the lamp were in the way. Needs an X shaped bracket with a screw in the middle ti be more versatile with the lamp studs on one part and the other is open for attaching to receptacle box.
