I love the idea that these sconces are not hardwired. Such a genius idea to have sconces with a rechargeable lightbulb! I had never heard of this until I saw it on Wayfair, and of course now I see them quite a bit. This hallway going down to my basement is very dark. The electrician said he could not put a light up in the ceiling after he climbed up in the attic to look. So when I saw these, I was so excited to be able to do such a simple thing to add light to this dreary, dark hallway! I had a bit of a struggle getting them mounted right because they are so close to my ceiling, but other than that, it is very simple to get them mounted and have instant light wherever you might need it! The gold shade on these actually move, so you can rotate it to your desired spot. Strangely, it is a bit tricky to get the remote to work for both lights. It does come with two. So I just was played around with it and pushed buttons until I was able to sync them. I wish I could remember what I did but that part was a little frustrating. I actually mounted the remote to the side of the wall where I do have a switch that turns on a light at the very bottom of the stairs. Lovely sconce - very nice brushed brass/gold finish nice neutral shade. LED lights are easy to charge and place. Only reason for 4 stars is that the “white light” option is too bright white/ cool in color for my liking. If it were a warm white I would be totally in love with these sconces! Remote works well. In my picture you can see how bright the sconces are compared to the nice warm color of the bedside lamp. This is the sconces on the “white” setting at low brightness. These are really nice sconces! They look high end, but are rechargeable so no hardwiring required! I did deduct a star because the shades arrived damaged. Besides the shade damage I would completely get them again! Love that the bulbs look like bulbs (and are so easy to recharge)!
