A wave of the hand is all it takes to activate the Nine Stars' stainless-steel trash can, while its fingerprint-resistant coating keeps messes where they belong - within. A custom delay sensor keeps the ABS-plastic dual lid from sliding open at inopportune moments, while the unit's patented soft-close system keeps peace front and center. And if you're a fan of saving, you'll do plenty thanks to unprecedented battery life that allows for approximately a year's worth of openings and closings.

The trash can looks fancy and has two okay size compartments to separate recyling and regular trash. Just wish it didn’t need batteries to operate. Also, the lid cannot be locked to the can which is a bummer. Anonymous. Thu Oct 22 2026

Keep your garbage out of sight anywhere in your home with the 13.2-gallon and 3.2-gallon dual stainless steel motion sensor trash cans from nine stars. These stainless steel trash cans feature motion sensor lids that use infrared technology to automatically open when motion is detected within 10 inches or at a 130-degree angle from the sensor. The lids will then stay open while they sense debris in range, and softly close 3 seconds after you move away. Additionally, manual mode keeps the trash can lids open longer, giving you more time to clean up larger messes with ease. Replaceable ring liners in each trash can hold your trash bag in the bin to keep the bag from falling as you throw away the trash. The receptacle's sleek, stainless steel design doesn't show fingerprints and has a non-skid base to keep your kitchen, bathroom, or office looking its best. The trash cans require 3 C-sized batteries (large) and 2 C-sized batteries (small) for operation. With a sleek design and expert functionality, your home will always feel clean with the 13.2-gallon and 3.2-gallon dual stainless steel motion sensor trash cans from nine stars.

This large trash can has two compartments, and each bin holds about 30 liters, fitting standard 8 gallon trash bags. The motion sensor means hands-free convenience and fewer germs. The lid stays open as long as your hand or an object is in range, then closes automatically after a few seconds without activity. The is a button for opening or closing the lid manually. The lid for this touchless trash can can be lifted off easily, and underneath the lid is a power switch, should you need to turn the motion sensor off for any reason. Each compartment has a sturdy plastic bin liner, allowing for easy clean up and changing, and each bin has a convenient handle for lifting and carrying to make the job a little easier. The bins are also color-coded, one green and one black, so sorting is never confusing. Use this dual compartment trash can in your kitchen, office, garage or any other area that requires convenient, easy sorting.

I love the dual compartments for trash and recycling. It’s very sturdy and looks great.. Lisa. Allentown, PA. Tue Oct 06 2026

The trash can looks nice and that's all it has going for it. The sensor is not as sensitive as it should be to pickup motion and to stay open while dumping trash into it. The lid closes very shortly after you wave to open it but needs close proximity to the sensor to detect for open. There are times it would not open until you were about 2 inches from it. The lid also stayed open if your hand was in it and the sensor did not detect your movement while dumping until you waved over the sensor again. I would not recommend this trash can.. Michael. Lake Saint Louis, MO. Wed Sep 09 2026

Liven up your surroundings with the scent of fresh-cut lemons by using a multifunction sensor trash can. The high-quality ABS plastic lid combined with stainless steel can body works to repel dust, dirt, and fingerprints, while the corner-mounted sensor design ensures accurate opening, and easy reach and keeps operation 100% hands-free. This trash can is the perfect fit for every room in your home or office. The unique combination of an active carbon filter deodorizer and a fragrance cartridge with diffuser holes works together to eliminate odor inside the trash can while providing a fresh scent for the surroundings at the same time. The improved sensor mechanism requires only 4 “aa” batteries for up to 6 months of daily operation, and the included retainer ring makes trash bag installation and removal a breeze. This is the trash can you will fall in love with and use daily.

Looks great and love the slow close lids. My only gripe is that the cans are pretty small so we have to take out the recycling way more often than we did with our old can. But it’s a trade off to save space in the kitchen. So I still recommend! Emptying it more often just means getting more steps in so win win.. Joslyn. Los Angeles, CA. Wed May 06 2026
