This medicine cabinet was surprisingly good quality! No assembly required, very heavy, and has soft-close doors. Some shelves are difficult to install unless you remove the hinges. One shelf peg hole was misaligned but I was able to fix the wobbly shelf with a small rubber door pad. Directions say that it takes 2 people to install it but I recommend 3. This was the perfect vanity mirror light combo I needed for my basement bathroom. I have been slowly working on finishing my basement and added a small bathroom in the basement. I have a upflush system in the bathroom so I needed a vanity that is modern, not too bulky, and does not need a lot of electricity (watts). This checked all three boxes. It is super light, recessed and consumes minimal power due to LED lights. Love the three seperate light color/brightness. I had to cut a stud to get the light to be recessed, but given none of my basement studs are load bearing, that wasnt a issue. The vanity itself though is really nice and feels premium. Overall, this is a well-made and sturdy wall-mounted medicine cabinet with mirror. It looks great once installed and feels like a quality piece. When it arrived, the top was damaged and looked like it may have been previously handled or improperly cleaned. The finish appeared to be deteriorating, similar to what can happen when an abrasive cleaner is used on this type of painted surface. (For cabinets like this, it's best to clean the painted finish with mild soap and water, while only the mirror should be cleaned with glass cleaner.) Thankfully, customer service resolved the issue right away, and I was very happy with how they handled it. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell inside the cabinet. My husband assembled the cabinet and didn't notice any odor during installation. I only noticed it after it was mounted on the wall when I opened the doors. It has a noticeable burnt or smoky smell inside the cabinet that has lingered for over a week. I'm hoping it eventually goes away, but since the cabinet is already installed, returning it really isn't practical. Lastly, as several other reviewers mentioned, the assembly instructions could be clearer. Fortunately, I had already read the reviews before putting it together, and one review pointed out a step that wasn't well explained, which made the assembly much easier. This is a beautiful and high quality light up mirrored medicine cabinet! This will be replacing another light up mirror cabinet that I have in our guest bathroom. I can immediately tell the difference in quality. This medicine cabinet's backplate and inside doors are mirrored not aluminum like the other one I have which gives a distorted image.
