In a remote village in Central Java where daily life was once centered on rice farming, women are now able to enjoy the flexibility to work from home and bring in much-needed income while still being able to look after children and elderly parents. They expertly weave the hand-crafted teak pieces that are carefully shaped and sanded in the factory, from re-purposed wood that would otherwise be burnt. So by purchasing a hip-o product, not only are you helping to ensure a brighter future for the next generation, but you are also supporting the practice of responsible sourcing. These mats are flexible since they are woven from pieces of wood, so they can be rolled up for storage and can fit the contours of floors that aren't flat (such as sloped shower floors). The beauty and durability of natural teak mean that you will enjoy your hip-o items for many years to come.

This bath rug brings a soft, plush feel to your bathroom floor while providing a practical solution for wet feet. Crafted from cotton, this tufted piece features a high-absorbency design that quickly soaks up water to keep your space dry. We love the race track pattern that adds a subtle layer of texture without being overwhelming. Since it's reversible, you can flip it over for extended use between washes. It also creates a spa-like atmosphere that works well in front of a vanity or shower. Disclaimer: As this is a reversible bath rug, it does not include a strong anti-slip backing on either side.
